Maintenance Essentials for Polyurea Spray Equipment

Polyurea application requires specialized spray equipment, and proper maintenance is crucial to ensure high-quality project results. Since polyurea spray machines are expensive, maintaining them properly to extend their service life is equally important.

During humid seasons, it is recommended to perform equipment maintenance once a week. In drier climates, once every two weeks to a month is sufficient. The most critical part to maintain is the A-component system, as A-material is highly reactive with moisture in the air, which can lead to crystallization or curing issues.

Key maintenance points include checking the Y-type valve filter screen, feed pump, and lubrication oil cup of the proportioning pump. Regularly inspect the oil-water separator and air compressor (drain water as needed), and check for any residual material on the feed pump shaft. Ensure the connection between the feed pump and the material drum is well-sealed.

After shutting down the equipment, it is recommended to clean the feed pump with a dedicated cleaning agent, then place it in a protective sleeve soaked with protective liquid, or submerge it into the material drum and seal it with nitrogen protection.
