A suitable primer can enhance the bond between the polyurea and the substrate, so selecting the correct primer and controlling its open time during application are key factors in ensuring the quality of a polyurea project.

Spray-applied polyurea also requires specialized high-temperature, high-pressure equipment, and operators must be professionally trained to perform the work correctly. Therefore, proper formulation, compatible primers, and correct application techniques are essential steps for a successful polyurea coating project.
