When it comes to bulletproof materials, lightweight performance is one of the most important factors. The goal is to achieve maximum protection with minimal weight. In theory, almost any material can resist bullets if made thick and heavy enough, so weight efficiency is crucial. Compared with traditional ballistic materials such as PE (polyethylene) and aramid fiber, polyurea is not the best choice for pure bulletproof applications.

A thin spray layer of polyurea cannot prevent bullets from penetrating. Of course, the result also depends on the type of bullet, shooting distance, and energy involved.

However, because polyurea combines high tensile strength and excellent elasticity, it performs well in explosion protection, anti-fragmentation, and impact mitigation.
